When your client calls you about a water leak, it’s not always a simple fix. We recently got a call from one of our body corporate committee clients with a classic plumbing problem: a leaky pipe in one of their units.
The issue? The pipes for hot and cold water run through the walls and behind cupboards. While this is great for hiding unsightly plumbing, it makes it a real pain to access when things go wrong.
Thankfully, North Lakes Plumbing, one of our trusted partners came to the rescue. To get to the leaky pipe, they had to remove a section of a kitchen countertop. We like to think of them as skilled surgeons, carefully operating on the home’s “internal organs” to fix the issue.

Once the plumbers had finished their work, it was our turn to step in and give the kitchen its face-lift. Using a crisp white melamine board and hidden L brackets, we custom-built a new corner section to cover the now-exposed pipes. We then sealed it with a wet area sealant to protect the wood and cavity from moisture.
The result was a tidy, professional finish. This was a relatively simple task for our team, but it made all the difference, and we were able to get it all done in just a couple of hours.
